Think about travel costs

Be prepared with little cash, some travelers check and above all a few credit cards, that are accepted all over the continent.

Be aware of the exchange rates in the countries where the Euro is still not implemented.

Travel light

Don’t take too much clothes, take light items, that can be used, washed and reused over and over again, instead of packing so heavy that it will interfere with your walking or traveling.

Accommodations

You’ll probably will be staying in a hostel while traveling through Europe.

Remember a hostel is not a regular hotel. Be nice to your new friends and behave accordingly. There are infinite number of guides for hostels in the Internet.
